Because Shiro and I will have more opportunities to visit Beijing next year, I think it's a good time for us to learn Chinese seriouly. After thinking about how to study the new language, we chose to use Rosetta Stone, language learning software, so that we would be able to learn it, whether in Tokyo or Beijing.
Everytime I visit China or Taiwan, I have thought that it would have been more fun if I could speak a little Chinese. However, I never got serious about studying the language though I tried to study it several times and my Chinese friend actually tought me a few basic words and pronunciation. I hope to keep motivated this time and learn basic convasation. We'll see how much we learn.
